PrefaceDear Diary, Hello. My name is Angelique Le’Amour. I’m seventeen, and I live in a small town in northern California. I usually start off new diary entries like this, because I tend to write in diaries as if someone were to read them. So, Diary, please bear with me. I am French by descent (hence my last name), but in actuality I am a pure bred 21st century American. I usually go by the name Angel, because I think Angelique sounds too old fashioned. Another Rainy DayDrip, drip, drip. The rain fell off the tip of her wings. Her hair clung to her face as she stood on her balcony watching the rain fall around her. Her eyes had darkened. Everyone had said she had beautiful eyes; dark gray-blue, light green, then a dark orange around the pupil. She looked over the edge of the balcony, her shirt and pants clinging to her cold, pale skin. Only a ten story drop, she thought to herself, only ten stories. “I only want to scare him, nothing more,” she whispered to herself.
